- What is Quarrow? Quarrow is a web-based SQL workbench for Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, SCM, HCM and CX). It runs read-only SQL on any Fusion pod through a small BI Publisher report, with governance, a curated query catalog and consultant tools.
- How does it query Oracle Fusion without database access? You install one BI Publisher data model and report in your pod (a 10-minute task described in the setup guide). Quarrow sends your SQL to that report through the standard ExternalReportWSSService web service and reads the result back. No database link, VPN or agent is needed.
- Is it read-only? Yes. Every statement is checked before it is sent and only SELECT / WITH queries are allowed. The BI Publisher report runs under the Fusion data source you choose, so Fusion data security still applies.
- Does it remove the row limits of OTBI and BI Publisher? Results are paged, so you can browse any size of result, and background extracts stream large results to Excel or CSV in chunks instead of one oversized report.
- Which Oracle Fusion modules are covered? The catalog and 360 views cover Subscription Management, Sales, Service, Customer Data (TCA), Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA), Procurement, Order Management, Inventory, Projects and HCM. Any table visible to BI Publisher can be queried.
- Where is my data stored? Query results are not stored unless you save a snapshot or extract. Pod credentials are encrypted at rest. You can also self-host Quarrow in your own Oracle Cloud tenancy.
